Last Friday March 6th, AnySolution and Tecnalia presented the latest advances and developments of the European project STEVE project to the main actors of electric mobility and tourist operators in the municipality of Calvià.
The aim of the meeting was not only to present the STEVE project and the activities planned in the pilot that is being carried out in the Balearic Islands, but also to agree on the support and collaboration of the rent-a-bikes in the area. The two main developments of greatest interest to them were presented: the online reservation system for electric vehicles and the SAMAY App.
On the one hand, the reservation system developed by AnySolution allows users to easily identify the availability of electric bicycles in Mallorca (as well as other electric vehicles) and book them. On the other hand, the SAMAY App, developed by Tecnalia, serves as a navigation system while allowing users to optimize the energy efficiency of their driving.
The meeting was very fruitful and provided first-hand information on the main challenges faced by electric bicycle users (lack of signage, charging points and bike lanes).
