CICLE PRODUCTS OF MALLORCA

The local products of Mallorca, despite their high quality, do not receive the recognition they deserve, and this means that their consumption is not widely diffused, even by the island's own citizens. Zero-meter products, locally produced, promote the local economy and activate the business network, help to protect the landscape and are an important ally to ensure the sustainability and resilience of the island.

With this vision it is proposed the organization of a series of events dedicated to the visibility of Mallorcan products that will improve their awareness and, therefore, increase their consumption. The specific objectives of this series of events are:

  • To increase the consumption of local products in general.
  • Raise awareness of the importance of the agri-food sector for the sustainability of the territory.
  • To showcase the talent of Mallorca's local producers.
  • To give visibility to local products through the media and social networks.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS

SUSTAINABLE AND INTELLIGENT GASTRONOMY
Day and Time: November 4, 2021. 20h
Place: Centre Capvespre-Cooperativa Agrícola de Sóller

The objective is to present local products, as well as the technologies and initiatives that make them more viable. Local products will be tested, and a varied sample of the gastronomy of Mallorca will be made. Participants:

  • Jerònima Bonafé, president, Cooperatives Agroalimentàries
  • Juan Ortells, Anysolution: presentation of PLOUTOS and CPS4AGRI, IoT and AI applications in the agri-food sector.
  • Biel Moyà, IGP Herbes de Mallorca
  • DO Oli de Mallorca

After the event, you can enjoy a tasting of local products.

FROM THE FARM TO THE TABLE
Day and Time: November 18, 2021. 18.30h
Lloc: Hotel Valparaiso (Palma)

It is a Showcooking of different cooks using products from Mallorca.

Traditional recipes will be prepared and there will be a tasting exhibition aimed at the catering sector of Mallorca so that they can get to know and use local products. During the events there will be exhibitions of local products, connecting supply and demand.

GIVE THE GIFT OF MALLORCA FOR CHRISTMAS
Day and Time: December 6, 2021. All day.
Lloc: Claustre Sant Bonaventura, Llucmajor

Event aimed at increasing the sale of local products from Mallorca. It will contribute to increase the impact of their promotional campaigns. Throughout the day, there will be stands with local products of Mallorca as well as tasting of different food products.
