Within the framework of the project, the light electric vehicle of the future was manufactured, and technological developments were made that allowed the integration of electric vehicles in the territory.

Steve's Objective

The main objective was todefine new tourist routes that could be done with this new type of electric vehicles. To this end, a rigorous analysis of the needs and requirements of potential users (tourists and residents) and a territorial diagnosis of the municipality were carried out.

AnySolution was responsible for the execution of the pilot developed in Calvià.

Mobility is one of the major problems of tourist destinations, a problem that is even more acute in mature tourist destinations with a large influx of tourists during the summer season.

The STEVE project promoted the introduction of light electric vehicles as an alternative to traditional mobility, eliminating traffic congestion while reducing pollution.

For a tourist destination like Calvià, the STEVE project meant identifying a new type of mobility that also contributed to improve the services of the City Council itself, bringing its natural heritage closer to a greater number of visitors from a sustainable perspective.

The advantage of being able to make tourist routes with electric bicycles made available to anyone to enjoy wonderful mountain scenery or scenic routes with a means of transport that allows you to enjoy the environment, without polluting it and in turn, without the need to be in great shape.

App for the tourist promotion of Calvià

Tecnalia as a technology center worked on the SAMAY App, which allowed the user to have information on the route, obtain information on the location of the charging points, know their level of efficiency when driving a light electric vehicle, have a gamified environment achieving recognition for good driving, etc. This App was complemented by the development of AnySolution to provide information about electric vehicles in the municipality and to make reservations for them.
