Deployment of the Common European Tourism Data Space

To deploy the European Tourism Data Space, DEPLOYTOUR brings together key players from the tourism and data ecosystems and their wide geographical coverage of public networks, business, with a special focus on SMEs, and research partners at local, national and European level. Convinced that tourism data is crucial for the data economy in a European Digital Single Market, DEPLOYTOUR will develop a measurable contribution to the digital transformation of the tourism sector that can significantly strengthen European competitiveness.
The project started in October 2024, and is providing continuity to the DATES project .

The project will be the actual implementation of the European Tourism Data Space.
Objectives
- Develop and deploy the technical infrastructure of the common European tourism data space.
- Define a governance framework by developing the rules and roles of the different stakeholders involved in the governance of the future ETDS.
- Develop pilots and use cases to ensure a European dimension, with coverage of different tourism sub-sectors, and different tourism modalities.
- Ensure interoperability, transversality, complementarity and synergies with other data and tourism initiatives and tourism initiatives.
- Implementing a solid strategy for dissemination, communication and exploitation
The importance of data spaces for tourism will be demonstrated through 5 pilots

Pilot 3: Support for the MICE industry
Pilot 4: Leveraging cultural heritage to diversify tourism offerings
Pilot 5: Empowering tourism SMEs through a collaborative travel technology data space and app marketplace
