Coordination and deployment of the Internet of Things in Europe

Develop, implement and integrate various IoT solutions.

The CREATE-IoT project, now completed, was an initiative created within the framework of the so-called Internet of Things (IoT) large-scale pilot projects , i.e. systems of physical devices connected through wireless networks, such as WiFi or Bluetooth, that enable the collection and transmission of data from the environment.

Since 2016, and for approximately 4 years, seven EU-funded projects focused on developing, applying and integrating various IoT solutions to meet end-user needs.

Each project addressed different interrelated areas, mobility, agriculture and food safety, healthy aging, industry, robotics, among others, working with companies, administrations and
universities for the adoption of IoT.

CREATE-IoT for the exchange of European Union IoT initiatives

In this context, CREATE-IoT was designed to coordinate the efforts and activities of these projects and ensure effective interaction between them, as well as to support their dissemination, communication and deployment in the Member States. 

AnySolution was able to be part of this key project, leading the overall communication strategy of the project, ensuring effective communication through various channels to reach different target audiences.

Objectives of CREATE-IoT

  • Accelerate the development and deployment of IoT technologies and applications.
  • Coordinate and support future projects, ensuring the sustainability of the developed ecosystems.
  • Define the architecture and address interoperability and technical and semantic standards.
  • Develop common methodologies for the design, testing and validation of impact through specific key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Establish strong linkages with national initiatives and transfer learnings to the broader IoT policy framework. broader IoT policy framework.

CREATE-IoT created a strong connection between IoT initiatives to foster their application in Europe and support the growth of ecosystems based on open technologies and platforms.
