ClusterAtlas4Med will strengthen the competitiveness and digitization of rural tourism SMEs in the Mediterranean. Through a hub-and-spoke model, it will offer customized services to meet the challenges of the digital and green transition, fostering collaboration between public, private and R&D actors. With 8 core partners and 6 associates from 7 countries, the meta-cluster will become a focal point to drive local development policies and a more sustainable rural tourism.

ANYSOLUTION, coordinator of the Work Package on Joint Data Solutions for Sustainable Rural Tourism
Under the leadership of AnySolutionwhich capitalizes on its extensive experience in supporting the digital transition in tourism and agriculture at national and international levels, the partners will integrate different data sources to design a decision support platformaimed at helping businesses and policy makers implement sustainable strategies in rural tourism.
Key activities:
- Customization of the Digital Maturity Index - Adaptation of existing indices to measure and support the digitization of SMEs in rural tourism. Local hubs will update information to guide specific digital strategies.
- Development of the ATLAS4MED Data Dashboard - Selection and integration of existing data sources into an intuitive platform, which will enable policy makers and business support organizations to plan and execute sustainable, data-driven rural tourism initiatives.
Expected results
During the project, actions will be implemented to achieve:
- Trans-Mediterranean strategy to support innovation and digitalization of rural tourism SMEs, through co-creation workshops to learn about the needs of the sector.
- Rural Tourism SME Digital Maturity Indexas a tool to measure the level of digitalization and data literacy of local actors (SMEs and administrations), identifying gaps and needs.
- Launch of the ATLAS Clusterwith a portfolio of services to support digitization, training activities and dissemination of results.
- Training pathways to create new sustainable business opportunities, pilot-tested in different cultural, social and economic contexts.
- Innovative data solutions to develop a Rural Tourism Data Dashboardintegrating available data sources to support decision making by managers and SMEs.
- Joint Action Plan to promote a more digital and sustainable rural tourism, ensuring the active participation of tourism stakeholders in the NEXT MED area.
